- Hey folks.
-
- I'm having some trouble getting my GVP Series-II SCSI/RAM card to
- identify my Quantum 240 drive (I have the 4.5 ROM, so the drive shouldn't
- be the problem). My system consists of an A500 with Bodega Bay Zorro
- Cabinet along with the above. I'm also running WorkBench 2.0 Here's
- what happens:
-
- When I run Faaast Prep, I can get the main screen. When I choose either
- 'automatic' or 'manual', I get the following message:
-
- "Can't Open gvpscsi.device
- EPROM in?, Autobooting enabled?, Binddrivers?"
-
- When I try to simply autoboot, I get this message:
-
- "gvpscsi.device board 000 Ignored Status $FF/$FF"
-
- Now then, I would imagine the card would work find with my A500 since
- there's a GVP Series-II card for the 500, just without the drive mount
- part of the card. Since I thought the problem might be my BodegaBay, I
- used a Zorro-II passthru that hooks into the side of my 500. The same
- errors occured, so it doesn't seem to be the connection.
-
- Are there any jumpers I should set? (other then for RAM,etc)
- Is there really a difference between the GVP Series-II for the 2000 and 500?
- Can somebody help? :)
-
- Thanks
- -Jeff
